Welcome to my website.
I am currently a Research Economist at the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
My work covers education, health, and human capital. Current projects look at the impact of the UK government's Healthy Start voucher programme, and the impact of COVID and economic insecurity on child mental health.

I was a PhD student in Economics at Lancaster University.
My research focused on the economics of education, religion and identity but I'm interested in labour economics more generally as well as in health and development economics.
I taught on a number of different modules during my time at Lancaster. These are:
Econ 327 Labour Economics (for final year undergraduates) in the 2019/20 and 2021/2022 academic years. On both occasions I was the sole tutor responsible for multiple sessions each week. Student feedback for 2019/20 can be found here and feedback for 2021/22 can be found here.
Econ 331 Industrial Organisation (also for final year undergraduates). I was responsible for weekly workshops, a hybrid mix between a lecture and a seminar, and fortnightly seminars. Student feedback on my performance is here. The module took place entirely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Econ 101 Principles of Economics (for first year undergraduates). Again, this involved teaching weekly tutorials. Student feedback can be found here.
